This particular knife and sheath are currently in Iraq. The request from the National Guard Soldier was a small sheath that had multiple carry options. It is fully Molle Clip capable. Molle Clip straps are available on the front and back. This sheath design lends itself to both right hand and left hand carry as well as tac vest (right or left) and behind the back. A lot of options to cram into a small sheath design. The leather is black harness leather with a line 24 snap for security. You will also note a custom emblem designed by the soldier for this sheath. A bit of a different piece here. This sheath was designed by a very good friend of mine, Mr. Buck Early. This sheath was specifically designed for a Gerber Dive Knife. The Gerber Dive knife has an integral clip that holds the knife into a plastic sheath. Buck removed the clip which allowed for the design to include a snap that secures the knife "through" the knife handle. Pretty neat if you ask me. This is in a series of belt sheaths that I do for a Doug Hartsook Talon 2 knife. The bottom layer is frogskin and the top is black harness leather. This sheath is designed to wear on your belt horizontally. You can wear it on the right or left side as a straight draw or cross draw. This sheath lends itself well to small fixed blade knives.
