Perfect Boot Knife Sheath? Heres why...most boot knife sheaths have the clip set on the back side of the sheath. What this does is force you to insert the sheath and knife into your boot with the clip to the outside. This creates a bit of a problem as the leather to the back of the knife handle gets in the way when you try and draw the knife. This sheath has the clip attached the the front side of the sheath. When placing this sheath in your boot, the leather behind the handle is up against your leg protecting it from the various rubs and knocks while you walk. The sheath is constructed from Black Harness leather. It uses a standard belt/boot clip with a strap fastening system for the knife. I have used a "one-way" snap on this piece and have designed it so that you can grasp, un-snap and draw the knife in one fluid motion. This knife was originally designed for a Benchmade model 220 fixed Resistor. However, it will work well for any fixed blade knife in the 4" to 7" range. It is created out of black harness leather with a standard snap. The snap is created so that you can release the snap with a downward motion of your thoumb as you grasp the knife and draw. This piece is made specifically for possibly the best heavy tactical knife on the market, the Doug Hartsook ODA. This sheath is made out of heavy grade (8-10 oz) black harness leather and in double stiched for strength. It also features drain holes at the base of the sheath and two grommets for fastening to your leg using a draw strap.
